So it’s been a bit of a frustrating start for me on this blog. I’m NOT computer savvy at all. I can write and type and come up with fabulous things to discuss. But getting them on here – ugh, that’s been, as my Grandfather would say, a character building exercise.
Enter my partner in crime, the cream in my coffee, the ying to my yang (or for you Pittsburgh folks – the yinz to my y’all). My soon to be husband (getting married in September – yikes that’s soon!) has this uncanny ability to read my face when I’m about to throw an expensive piece of equipment (like my laptop) against the wall. A few clicks here and type type there and voila! My blog looks just the way I want it. How does he do that???
I am truly a lucky woman, and very blessed that Jason found me, chased me down, and forced me to fall in love with him. That’s not EXACTLY how he would describe it, but he was persistent and he absolutely knew we were meant to be together. He was unwavering and wouldn’t allow me to push him away (and Lord knows I tried!). And most importantly, he managed to do all this without coming off as creepy or stalker-ish!
So in less than 100 days (OMG – so much to do!) he will make me his wife forever. I can’t wait for that moment – I wish we had done it a year ago! I’m sure over the next few posts you’ll hear more about wedding mishaps and planning. But for now – let’s talk about my SO’s unwavering faith in us, and how that has allowed me to grow as a person. Because I have his faith in me, I was able to place more faith in myself and in my “gut feeling” that Essential Oils were right for me and my lifestyle goals.
Increasingly over the past years, we’ve learned about the toxic chemicals that are in our every day products that we bring into our homes. I’ve read about what’s actually in things like bleach, laundry detergent, Clorox wipes and make up. Slowly, I’ve been replacing these items in my home with natural, often homemade versions. Some are failures (notably, the homemade dishwasher detergent and shampoo). Some are huge successes, like my homemade Thieves foaming hand soap. I’m hoping, through this blog, I can share these find with you. And possibly you’ll discover something and share it with us!
If you’ve been wanting to get started using Essential Oils, I cannot recommend Young Living oils enough! They have a Seed to Seal process that is second to none.
