Off Topic – MIA

Hi Everyone!

I hope you’re still enjoying your oils and products from your Premium Starter Kit!

PSK

Sorry I’ve been a little MIA the past few days. As most of you know, in about 75 days or so, I’m getting married. I know – so exciting right? And I am excited….but at the moment I’m extremely overwhelmed.

Remember my blog about Stress Away? You can read it here. I’m using it by the gallon (well not really but…I did briefly consider whether or not I could put it on IV).

This past weekend and into this week, I’m making and addressing envelopes. Lots of envelopes.

There are reply envelopes, invitation envelopes and thank you card envelopes. I should also mention we’re doing A LOT of DIY with our wedding. Here are some sample flowers I’ve been experimenting with:

If you’re the crafty type, I highly recommend doing at least SOME DIY – it has saved us thousands of dollars, but at the same time you need to put the time in. So to save lots and lots of dollars – I’m giving up lots and lots of time. And it’s soooooo worth it! But it does come with some stress!

We’ve been engaged for about a year and a half, and we’ve been planning for most of that time. I have lists….tons of lists. At the time, I thought they were simply to calm my anxiety. Now I’m so glad I have them! My iPhone is FILLED with notes containing lists – food, music, timelines, things to do – you name it, I have a list.

I am extremely blessed – no, like REALLY blessed – that I have such a loving and talented family that are willing to help me. My sister, my MOH, has been a godsend with helping me on difficult decisions, telling me when I’m being too picky and pulling me back from the ledge when things just seem to go very wrong very quickly (note they SEEM to go very wrong. Everything happens for a reason). My daughter, who is also my MOH, is a very talented culinary student, and she’s graciously agreed to make our cake! (I can’t wait to see what she comes up with!) My Mom has offered to cook…for 150 people. She’s amazing (and an Italian woman can cook, y’all know THAT!).

Helping me out for the final two months of this crazy (but exciting!) time are my oils. Every day I use at least one, but it’s really more like three to four. Stress away is definitely my go-to these days, but let me show you what else I’m using:

Orange and Grapefruit (not in your Kits but available through Young Living) in my water to keep me drinking and keep me hydrated!

Peppermint

Peppermint (you can read more about Peppermint here) keeps me focused and SERIOUSLY helps with tension headaches. (I rub some on my temples, behind my ears, and on my chest and inhale deeply).

Valor

Valor (not in your Kit, but available through Young Living) is like courage in a bottle. I put it on whenever I do something that I know I don’t want to do – like revisit my budget, think of how I should have started working out BEFORE my dress fitting, go over my guest list for the 90th time to make sure I didn’t miss anyone or simply get up and go to work after a late night of planning.

At night, I’ve been diffusing Lavender (you can read about that here) and Cedarwood, again not part of your Kit, but available through Young Living. This combination has me drifting off to sleep in no time, and I’ve noticed when I have this blend in the diffuser, I rarely wake up during the night.

Peace and Calming

I told you about Peace and Calming here. As much as I try, there are times when my anxiety gets the best of me and I just need to calm my nerves a little. I put some Peace and Calming on and take a walk around the block. This time of year, the heat makes me into my own diffuser, and 20-30 minutes later I feel much better (and I get a walk in too! Win win!).

Frankincense

Finally, at night and in the morning, I put some Frank on my face. You can read about Frankincense here. I don’t know that it will do anything about my existing wrinkles and laugh lines, but I’m hoping it keeps any new ones at bay!

I hope you’ll try your oils when you have a project due, or if you find yourself planning a wedding too, or if you’re in any type of overwhelming situation! Be sure to share your finds with everyone here – we’re all here to learn from each other!

Remember, if you still haven’t purchased your Premium Starter Kit, you can do that here. It’s an amazing value at $160.00 as it is loaded with 11 oils and other products to get you started to a more health conscious lifestyle! Not only do you gain your Young Living membership, and the ability to purchase other oils, like Valor and Cedarwood, at wholesale pricing (24% below retail!), but you also get access to my amazing team of oily people! We are all here to help one another and share knowledge we’ve accumulated throughout not just using our oils, but through our life experiences!

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know! I promise next time I’ll get back to your oils in your Kit. I don’t think we have much more to cover! Until then, stay well!
